Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad is pleased to announce the International Conference on 'Characterization and Quality Control of Nuclear Fuels' (CQCNF) – 2018 during December 5 – 7, 2018 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
NFC is a premier fuel manufacturing unit under the prestigious Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and is unique in the world with fully integrated manufacturing of fuel and core structurals for the PHWRs, BWRs and structurals to FBRs operating in the country. Set up in early 1970s, NFC is the only facility in the world, where Uranium and Zirconium ore concentrates are simultaneously processed at the same location to produce finished fuel assemblies and zircaloy structural core components for supply to the Nuclear Power Industry.Since its inception, NFC has been on the path of continual developments through innovative process modifications, state-of-the art automations, integrated approach and dedicated efforts and have achieved a distinction in becoming the world’s highest producer of PHWR fuels for consecutive three years in a row by producing 1512 MT fuel bundles making DAE and India proud in the world forum.Today, NFC also caters to various strategic requirements of Space and Defence sectors in high critical areas.

CQCNF is amongst the highly acclaimed international conferences being organized in Department of Atomic Energy and is organized in co-operation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since 2002. The conference focuses on recent advances in nuclear fuel fabrication in the fields of quality, safety and productivity.
